Our role is to represent the United Kingdom in the Palestinian Territories. Representation includes enhancing relations and understanding between the local community and the UK, providing advice and assistance to British Nationals living in the Palestinian territories and improving political, economic, social and cultural relations between the United Kingdom and the Palestinian Authority.
The Consulate General in Jerusalem includes various sections that work together to represent the UK, politically, commercially and culturally. The Consulate General also provides advice, information and assistance to British nationals visiting or residing in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza
Departments at the Consulate General include:
Political Section
Handles political and diplomatic relations, UK official visitors and political reporting.
Press & Public Affairs
Provides information and answers inquiries on UK related issues; promotes UK policies and culture and seek ways to improve understanding between the two cultures.
Commercial Section
Provides assistance to British businessmen and commercial visitors, and encourages trade relations and investment in the UK
Visa & Passports / Consular
Issues Visas to the UK, Passports to British nationals and provides consular services to British nationals.
The British Information & Services Office
The Gaza office provides services to residents of Gaza unable to reach Jerusalem. Services include visa applications, information and commercial services, in cooperation with Jerusalem.
Management Section
Keeps our offices running and handles all administrative and financial issues, customs, transport etc.
