Passports

You’ll find everything you need here to apply for a UK passport. We’ve divided the information into helpful sections, so please click on the headings for further details.

  • all passports for British nationals present in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories are issued at the British Embassy in Tel Aviv. Applications for British passports from residents of Israel are processed by the Embassy in Tel Aviv. Applicants may submit their applications by post or in person in Tel Aviv. Applications for British passports from residents in Gaza and the West Bank are accepted directly at the Embassy in Tel Aviv but can be submitted at the Consulate-General in Jerusalem or the British Information & Services Office in Gaza if that is more convenient.
  • passports issued at British diplomatic missions do not state the place of issue. Under, “place of issue”, your passport will read, “FCO” (for Foreign and Commonwealth Office).
  • for information about how to apply for a passport at the British Embassy in Tel Aviv, please visit their web site British Embassy.
  • the Consulate-General in Jerusalem will still be able to assist with the issue of emergency passports where needed.
