The British Christmas Charity Fair (04/11/2009)
On 5th December the CC22 Club will host a Christmas Fair to raise money for good causes in Gaza. Everyone is welcome but numbers are limited and you must register your attendance in advance. Please also read the following carefully.
The Fair will run from 11am - 3pm in the grounds of the British Consulate in Jerusalem. There will be Christmas food and crafts for sale plus second hand DVDs, books, toys and ladies' cocktail dresses. Prices may be cut at the end of the day. We regret that no returns or refund claims can be accepted.
There will also be a playground for children including fun games and prizes. There will be a reasonable charge per child and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The CC22 club is a social club. It's activities are unrelated to the political or development agenda of the British Consulate or the Foreign Commonwealth Office. Our fair is an event in keeping with the Christmas tradition of charity and concern for the needy. Please come and have a good time supporting our cause.
We are working with our staff and contacts in Gaza to determine the most effective use of the money that we raise. Currently, a piece of hospital equipment looks likely but we are also looking at children's charities. We will take every measure within our power to ensure that our donation reaches those most in need and details of our donation will be posted on this website.
The normal security procedures of the British Consulate will be in place and our security team reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone on any grounds, even if they have registered their attendance in advance.
The fair has been organised entirely thanks to the good will of the staff and families of the British Consulate. Please show them your respect and appreciation at all times and your patience if the queues are long.
If you have second hand goods to donate - books, DVDs, toys and cocktail dresses only - please deliver them in good condition no later than 3rd December to the security office at the entrance to the Consulate. They will be very much appreciated!
